Every month we run a challenge (with prizes) for the most creative and innovative artworks created around the monthly theme, using the materials in the box. Additional items may be used in the construction of projects, but the box contents must be at the core of the project.
Five winners are selected each month (usually by us, but occasionally by guest judges) in various categories such as most creative, funniest, most unexpected etc. Prizes might include swag from the shop, books, art materials etc, and will ship to the winners with their next box. Winners may be featured on our social media accounts and website, and yes, we might just be giving out embroidered achievement patches. :)
To enter, simply upload images of your finished project to Instagram by the last day of the month and tag your post with the challenge hashtag, #andmakethingschallenge. It's easy and motivating.
LAST DAY TO SUBMIT YOUR IMAGE FOR ENTRY TO THE CHALLENGE: LAST DAY OF THE MONTH*
WINNERS ANNOUNCED: 5TH OF THE MONTH
PRIZES SENT: 10TH OF THE MONTH
*Boxes are mailed out by the 10th of the month. You have the rest of the month to work on your project. Images must be uploaded and tagged on Instagram by midnight PST on the last day of the month. Winners are announced 5 days later on social media, and prizes are sent out on the 10th of the month with the next round of boxes.
